CAN A CHILD HAVE A DIFFERENT BLOOD TYPE THAN THE PARENT ?
The four blood types of the ABO system (O,A,B and AB) are inherited according to known rules (co-dominant recessive type) and a child may have the same blood type as his parents.
Thus if one parent has blood type AB and the other parent has blood type AB, the child is most likely to own the same blood type, but he or she may also have any other blood type.
If the parents have blood type 1 and 4, the child will either have blood type 2 or 3.
